Fairytale Wedding

Saturday, August 11, 2012
Travis got to put on his tux and strut his stuff!!!  He got lots of compliments on how nice he looked, and he actually said thank you!

We had a good long wait of about 40 minutes before things got started.  Because Kaeleigha's mom (a bridesmaid) and gammy (mother of the groom) were in the wedding, I kept an eye on the kids and made sure they got where they needed to be.  They were hilarious.  At one point I had to tell them that I would have to sit down and that there was a lady that would stand with them and tell them when to go.  Kaeleigha (age 4) looked up at me and said, "I'll be brave.  I won't cry.  Travis will be there, right?"  It was cute!

Waiting for things to get going.
I think this is my favorite picture.  They were best buds and enjoyed being silly together.

 It's go-time!

Travie was a gentleman and walked behind her.  So cute!

Once the whole wedding party was in place, there was a pause.  We were waiting for the cue in the music when Keith and Ashlee would appear.  Next thing we know we hear sleigh bells.  It was AWESOME!  A horse rounded the corner of the building and pulled a pretty carriage with the bride and her father!  Classic fairytale!

Ashlee kept the horse and carriage a secret.  Very few people knew it was going to happen.  She didn't even tell her dad because he would likely blab to everyone.  It worked out perfectly!

The newlyweds...  Ashlee & Kenny Remsberg.

After the ceremony, the guests gathered in the lobby of the church for appetizers.  The wedding party then took some pictures.  Kenny's dad told Travis and Kaeleigha that if they were good for pictures then they'd be able to take a ride in the carriage.  I think that was the highlight of the day for them!

After pictures then the wedding party was introduced as they entered the reception hall.  The kids got lots of whistles and yells.  I have to admit that they did amp up the cuteness factor!

We enjoyed dinner, cake and dancing, but by 8pm Travis was done!  He was tired and he wanted to go home.  We changed him out of his tux and said our goodbyes and headed home.  I don't think we were far the church parking lot when he fell asleep.

The wedding was a lot of fun.  It was really cool that Ashlee and Kenny invited Travis to be a part of their big day.  Hopefully he'll be able to remember it for years to come.
