World Tour - Washington DC

I was very lucky to attend the SCENTSY World Tour in DC this weekend. My awesome director, Angela came down from Ohio to go with me. I don't have a team yet (but am working on that), so I would have had to go alone - and I would have, but it's always more fun with someone else.

I was able to hear some great stories and hear some great motivational talks. Ya know? I think the best part about SCENTSY is that it makes me want to be a better person. I realize that people will only take me for who I am. If I feel better about myself, then people will respond better to me. I'd like to be a positive influence to all that I come in contact with, so I need to start with me.

I also got to meet the CEO and his wife (Orville and Heidi Thompson). They are so down to earth and really great people. I also got to meet Bob Hipple. He is the head of training for the company. I don't quite know what it is about him, but I am really drawn to him and the words he speaks to help us. After all was said and done I introduced myself to him. Ends up he's a Bishop in his ward right now, and we talked a bit about the influence the gospel has in all aspects of our lives.

I love working for a company that has great values. I don't have to work with other members of the LDS church, but it sure is refreshing to know that the ones that are running the company have the same outlook on life as I do.
